PLATTSBURG, N.Y., Aug. 10 -- Five years ago this week United States Senator Warren G. Harding made his one and only visit to Plattsburg. As a Chautauqua speaker he stood on the band stand in front of the commanding officer's quarters and delivered a stirring war address to thousands of soldiers in training and to civilians.
